Using dominoes as a metaphor, participants will practice the four steps of Improvement Kata along with the Coaching Kata as they work to achieve a challenge. This course will include some overview and instruction, but the majority of the time will be spent practicing, discussing and reflecting on how IK/CK differs from how we typically strive to achieve goals or solve problems at work. Regardless of whether participants are actively using the Toyota Kata routine now, they can decouple, learn and apply the routines in any context.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be aware and able to begin practicing Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata.

Open to anyone from any industry and any experience level.
