The Michigan Lean Consortium events team is excited to bring you an engaging afternoon filled with networking, active learning sessions, recognitions, and giveaways. For your health and safety, the MLC 9th annual Healthcare Symposium will be fully virtual this year. 

Description: To kick off the 9th annual MLC Healthcare Symposium, keynote speaker Dr. Richard Zarbo, the Chairman of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine System at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit will be speaking to us. Dr. Zarbo is a transformative leader who was responsible for integrating all medical laboratories of the Henry Ford Health System into a product line that operates using the Henry Ford’s Lean business system he developed known as the Henry Ford Production System.  In addition to the keynote all attendees will have an opportunity to interact during one active learning session and receive the recordings to all the sessions and event. 

Who should attend: This program will be of interest to those working in the healthcare field and/or wanting to learn more about:

  • Improving processes and systems to increase customer satisfaction in healthcare
  • Applying Lean tools and principles to define and resolve challenges faced during the pandemic
  • Achieving best practice outcomes that meet or exceed quality benchmarks during COVID
