Join Brian DeVries for an interactive BIG Thinking Lean Coffee conversation exploring what it means to create courage in the workplace.


Together we’ll discuss psychological safety, leadership, trust, accountability, fear, and the environments that either encourage or suppress courageous thinking and action.


This is a collaborative conversation designed to help leaders and teams explore culture, improvement, trust, and human potential through the lens of courage.

Currently Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement & Quality at Cornerstone Building Brands, he’s led CI efforts at several Fortune 500 companies, built global maturity frameworks, and empowered high-performing teams to deliver millions in savings. A former board member of the Michigan Lean Consortium and frequent guest on industry podcasts and stages, Brian is passionate about improving lives through people-first lean thinking. He’s also the author of The Big Thinking of a Small Knight and, when he’s not leading change, you’ll find him on the golf course, around the smoker, or hunting down his next great bourbon.

A Virtual Coffee offers a relaxed and engaging platform to connect with Lean professionals and explore meaningful discussions in a collaborative virtual environment. These sessions combine the best of our Coffee Chats and Book Club, offering a platform to discuss all things Lean, share professional challenges, and explore solutions with like-minded peers.
