Higher Education Scholarship Fund

Investing in the Next Generation of Lean Thinkers

The Michigan Lean Consortium is committed to growing a strong, diverse community of continuous improvement practitioners — and that starts with students. The MLC Higher Education Scholarship Fund provides financial support to help student members access the training, events, and conferences hosted or sponsored by MLC. Whether you're attending your first Lean event or deepening your practice, we want to make participation possible.

Who Can Apply

This scholarship is open to current MLC student members. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical program and in good standing with their institution. Funding is available for MLC-hosted or MLC-sponsored events, training sessions, and conferences only.

What the Scholarship Covers

Awards are intended to offset the cost of attending a specific MLC event or training. This may include registration fees and, depending on available funding, other related costs. Each application is considered individually based on the event requested and funding availability.

How to Apply

Complete the scholarship application and submit it prior to the event for which you are requesting funding. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by the Michigan Lean Consortium. You will be notified of a decision within a reasonable review period — response timing may vary depending on the number of applications received and available funds.
