Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes Gemba Tour at Amway’s Nutritional Powder Plant, located at the company’s Global Headquarters in Ada, MI. This hands-on experience will immerse participants in Amway’s Food & Beverage manufacturing operations, offering a unique opportunity to observe real-time processes, engage in collaborative learning, and explore Lean practices in action.

What to Expect:
✔ A guided plant tour of Amway’s state-of-the-art Nutritional Powder manufacturing facility
✔ A Gemba event focused on real-world process observation
✔ Small group debriefs to discuss key takeaways, strengths, and opportunities for improvement
✔ Lunch and refreshments provided onsite
✔ 30 minutes of observation + 30 minutes of Q&A with plant leadership

Mary White
Plant Manager, Amway Nutritional Products Plant 

Mary White leads a high-performing and dynamic team at Amway’s Nutritional Products Plant, producing the majority of Nutrilite powder products distributed globally. With a 31-year career at Amway, she brings deep experience across Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and Affiliate Training. Mary is known for delivering impactful results while fostering strong partnerships, and she is passionate about quality processes and collaborative improvement. Outside of work, she enjoys golf, tennis, soccer, and spending time with her husband and two adult children.

Safety & Logistics

PPE Requirements: Please wear closed-toe shoes and business casual attire.
Remove all jewelry (rings, earrings, necklaces, watches, etc.).
No hairclips, candy, gum, or mints are allowed in the plant.
Safety glasses will be provided.

Registration Cancellations

We understand that plans change. In the event you are unable to attend an event, refunds will be issued in full for cancellation refund requests received in writing via the events@michiganlean.org email at least seven (7) days before the event. Refunds will not be issued when less than a seven (7) day notice is provided. After submitting your cancellation refund request via email, please allow up to ten (10) business days for your refund to be processed. If the event is rescheduled, all purchases will be honored for the rescheduled event date. If the event is cancelled, all purchases will be refunded in full.
