Leads, Not Likes: The 3 Keys to a Nailed-on LinkedIn Strategy

Looking back a year ago, were you dreaming of randomly posting sh*t on LinkedIn, sending countless outbound emails and DMs, getting polite “no thanks” responses (if any), and engaging in endless comment threads with people who would never, ever hire you—all while wondering: “Why am I not getting anywhere?”

And by “anywhere,” I don’t mean going viral or hitting 100k followers. I mean building the kind of business you envisioned when you first started—clients who come to you, month after month, because they trust you to solve their biggest challenges.

Maybe you think, “If I just got another 1,000 followers, then things will change.” Maybe you’ve tried giving away your best insights for free, hoping the LinkedIn algorithm gods will bless you with inbound leads. But the bank account? Not feeling it.

Or maybe you’ve bought into the lie: “If I post, they will come.”

I hate to break it to you—it’s a waste of time.

At least, not until you change your approach radically.

In this coffee session, we’re diving into the 3 keys to a LinkedIn strategy that brings leads, not just likes. No fluff, no overcomplicated “content plans,” just a simple process that gets real clients reaching out to you. You’ll leave with one key action step you can take today to stop chasing engagement and start closing deals.

    Presenter:

    Sam Morgan
    Illuminate Coaching + Consulting

Sam knows what it’s like to feel stuck. For years, he did what he thought everyone wanted him to do. But discovering the world of continuous improvement ten years ago changed everything—personally and professionally.

What made the difference wasn’t just Lean principles—it was adopting the mindset of scientific thinking. The Toyota Kata practice, rooted in experimentation and deliberate steps forward, helped Sam move from operating out of fear and hesitation to taking confident, consistent action. That same approach helped him leave his corporate job as an operations analyst and launch his own coaching business almost 3 years ago.

And it’s at the heart of the why, the what and the how of everything he does with his clients. Today, Sam helps lean consultants escape the feast-and-famine cycle that so many struggle with. Through his Scaled Lean Consultant Lab, he equips them to land consistent five-figure contracts, solve meaningful client problems, and build a business that works on their terms. Because getting unstuck isn’t just about tools—it’s about transformation. And that’s the mark Sam is here to help others make

      Breakout Sessions

Workshop: Transforming Process Maps into Predictive Models for Continuous Improvement*

      Breakout Sessions 1 & 2 | Limited to 28 participants

A personal computer is required for this interactive session.

Static process maps are useful tools for visualizing the ideal state of a process. However, in the real world, processes are rarely static—variation, bottlenecks, and rework create inefficiencies that static tools cannot account for. How can organizations design processes that withstand this variability and validate that proposed changes will improve outcomes before implementation? This hands-on session addresses the growing need for Lean practitioners to move beyond static maps and incorporate dynamic modeling for real-world process design.

*Note: This workshop will replace the first two breakout sessions (10:05 AM - 12:15 PM) and requires a personal computer to participate.

Using real-world examples and actionable insights, he’ll help you uncover the hidden costs of poor communication and show you how to transform it into a powerful tool for competitive advantage.

        WHAT ARE WE READING?

The Knowledge Management Memory Jogger - Dr. Cynthia J. Young

Knowledge Management can be used to great effect in business and on an individual level. The Knowledge Management Memory Jogger explains the five key knowledge management areas for success, Knowledge Capture, Transfer, Sharing, Storage, and Findability. Then it demonstrates how you can apply these across different business departments and describes six knowledge management tools and nine knowledge management processes to help you achieve success, along with seven knowledge management guides that will help with challenges that can be solved or alleviated using human-centric knowledge management.

        PRE-WORK

Please read the whole book before the discussion session.
